The Lilongwe Academy International School (TLAIS) is an international private school, conveniently situated in Area 47/4 Lilongwe behind Silver Stadium. The Lilongwe Academy now invites applications from Candidates who meet the qualifications and experience as follows:
Position : Accounts Clerk (tenable Lilongwe)
Availability of the position: 09th September, 2024
Specific Duties:
Among other duties the successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties:
- Updating of the Fees Ledger on a daily basis.
- Accounts receivable posting and reconciliation.
- Performing Bank Reconciliations.
- Creditor Management and Reconciliation.
- Receipts Posting.
- Fees meeting report presentation.
- Debt collection.
- Management of caution refunds.
- Fees receipts.
- Local Purchase order booking.
- Documents Filing.
- General Posting.
- Stores stock taking.
- Hiring and Rentals invoicing and tracking.
- Assisting in audit preparations.
- Collaborate with accounts team to support various accounting activities on daily basis.
- Performs any other relevant duty as required by the Academy from time to time.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A minimum of Diploma in Accounting, a University Degree from a recognizable institution in Accountancy or Business Administration or Finance shall be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of various accounting packages such as Quick Books is a must.
- Computer literate in office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power point).
- Proactive attitude and ability to work independently and in a team.
- Good communication skills in English both written and oral.
- Plans own work effectively and keeps producing high quality work under increased pressure.
- Puts social and ethical standards into practice.
- Willing to learn and adapt to one’s own position and situation.
- At least 1 to 2 years’ experience.
- Should be aged 25 and above.
- Self-motivated, team player, innovative and result oriented.
