Job Description
The National Economic Empowerment Fund Limited (NEEF) is a government owned Microfinance Institution whose mission is to economically empower ordinary and underserved Malawian (particularly women, youth, and persons with disability) through the provision of quality, affordable and sustainable microfinance services for better health.
NEEF invites applications from suitably qualified, mature, ambitious and professional Malawi Nationals with a passion for results to join the vibrant HR team and fill the vacant post of:
Assistant Human Resource and Administration Officer (Grade NF6)- 5 positions (Southern region, Centre West region, Centre East region, Mzuzu Branch and Lilongwe Head Office)
The Assistant HR and Admin Officer will report to Senior Human Resources and Administration Officer and shall be responsible for providing HR and Administrative support in the region.
Key Duties and Responsibilities.
- Supervising regional Administrative and Human Resource Assistants, overseeing their daily activities while ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinating payroll and staff benefits. Ensuring that they are completed on time.
- Managing and maintaining HR records such as personnel files, employment records, leave requests, performance appraisal records. Ensuring that they are up to date all the time.
- Coordinating semi annual and annual performance appraisals at regional level
- Producing HR monthly reports.
- Providing support during recruitment processes by posting jobs, scheduling interviews and processing of resumes.
- Ensuring efficient allocation and utilisation of the Fund’s resources (e.g. furniture, fuel, telephone units, office space, consumables, stationery).
- Coordinating training seminars and orientation of new recruits.
- Coordinating disciplinary hearing sessions for non – Management staff members and ensuring that reports have been produced.
- Coordinating all outsourced services such as insurance, security and maintenance services and ensure that they are paid for on time.
- Fleet management at region level. Coordinating timely services for all motor vehicles and motorcycles and ensuring that the fleet is fit for use at all times.
- Managing office infrastructure and allocate offices to new members of staff.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management, Administration, Behavioural Sciences or its equivalent
- A minimum of three year’ experience
- Knowledge of HR and labour related laws
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
