Job Description

ADMARC Limited Company was established as Statutory Corporation in 1971 under Chapter 67.03 of the Laws of Malawi. The Act was repealed in 2003. Following that, ADMARC was incorporated as a Limited Liability Company, under the Companies Act. The repeal saw ADMARC Limited becoming a non-subverted Statutory Corporation, but with Government being a major shareholder with up to 99% shares.

The Board of Directors of ADMARC Ltd resolved to overhaul ADMARC Ltd by Corporate restructuring. The Board approved new structures for ADMARC Ltd with new skills sets to take the new ADMARC forward. All employees were retrenched.

ADMARC Limited, a Statutory Corporation in Agricultural Marketing is looking for suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following positions:

Assistant Human Resources & Administration Officer (Grade AL 6 based at Liwonde ADMARC Office)

Purpose of the Job

  • To interpret and ensure proper implementation of Staff Terms and Conditions of Service; HR and Administrative Policies.
  • To be the overseer of all Human Resources and Administrative issues in all ADMARC Factories and Ginneries.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in formulating and updating Job Descriptions for each post in liaison with Heads of Department;
2. Interpret and participate in the review of HR and Administrative Policies and Terms and Conditions of Service
3. Provide support to the Human Resource and Administration Officer during recruitment
4. Supervise and appraise performance of staff under his/her charge
5. Carry out training needs assessment in the region
6. Handle staff disciplinary issues and grievances for junior staff
7. Handle welfare, compensation and Pension issues
8. Develop and maintain HR and administrative records
9. Arrange for induction in liaison with heads of departments
10. Manage fleet
11. Process staff leave forms
12. Provide counseling services to junior members of staff

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • MSCE and a Diploma in Human Resource Management/Human Resources Development/ Business Administration from a recognised institution.
  • Plus two (2) years’ experience in HR and administration
