NON-ACADEMIC STAFF VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resoces (LUANAR) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to be considered for the following vacant posts in various establishments of the University.
ASSISTANT MARKETING OFFICER
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Marketing Officer to plan, develop, and execute marketing campaigns that align with the university’s goals and objectives.
- Contribute to the creation of engaging and relevant content for marketing materials, website, social media, and other promotional channels.
- Assist in the management of digital marketing initiatives, including social media campaigns, email marketing, and search engine optimization (SEO).
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and opportunities for the university. Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis to enhance marketing strategies.
- Support the planning and execution of university events, open houses, and recruitment fairs to attract prospective students and engage with the community.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including admissions, academic departments, and external agencies, to ensure cohesive and effective marketing efforts. Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by relevant authorities.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in marketing, preferably in an educational or similar setting.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing trends and tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative and graphic designing skills
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Terms and Conditions of Engagement
All the successful candidates will be engaged on an initial 2-year contract before they can be considered for permanent appointment based on satisfactory performance. Remuneration
will be in line with LUANAR Staff Regulations and Conditions of Service applicable to staff
on fixed-term contract.
