Quantity Surveyor
AMAC Engineering Limited is a contracting firm specialized in Building services Works, Mechanical Works, and Electrical works. We are looking for a vibrant Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join team as an intern.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Quantity surveyor, you will be responsible for helping to estimate costs, quantities, and project timelines and providing this information to clients. You will be liasing with a variety of other teams and helping to keep a project on track. Below is the detailed list of re:
- Liaising with clients to identify their needs
- Estimating quantities, costs and time scales for material and Labour
- Preparing tender and contract documents
- Identifying and weighing up commercial risks
- Assigning work to subcontractors
- Valuing completed work, managing budgets and overseeing payments
- Ensuring projects meet legal and quality standards
- Ensuring that clients get value for their money
- Submitting regular budget reports
- Following building regulations and health and safety
- Working at a client’s business, in an office or on a construction site
Required qualifications and Attributes
- Diploma in Quantity survey from recognized institution
- Self-motivated and confident
- Able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing
- Able to manage their own workload and to support others when needed
- Able to show initiative and act proactively
- Flexible and adaptable
- Able to use Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
