POSITION: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER – 1 Post

As a Business Development Officer, you will play a critical role in expanding SolarAid’s sales network and business partnerships. You will identify growth opportunities, develop marketing strategies, and build a strong network of sales agents.
Job Responsibilities:
Sales Network Management
- Educate communities about the benefits of solar products through outreach campaigns.
- Conduct meetings with school officials, traditional leaders, and local groups.
- Train sales agents on product knowledge, sales techniques, and after-sales service.
- Develop and monitor sales activity plans and budgets.
Marketing & Customer Engagement
- Introduce new promotions, products, and sales strategies.
- Monitor competitor activities and recommend improvements.
- Conduct community demonstrations and support customer recruitment strategies.
Performance & Risk Management
- Track and analyze sales agent performance.
- Ensure compliance with stock management policies.
- Monitor business cash flow and manage delinquency issues.
Requirements:
- Advanced Diploma in Business Management or Administration (Degree preferred).
- 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in Chichewa and other Malawian languages is an advantage.
