Overview
Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitable qualified Malawians to fill the following vacant positions tenable at Zomba District Council. The applicants must be willing to work in rural areas and subjected to Malawi Public Services Regulations (MPSR) from time to time.
POST: CHIEF NUTRITION, HIV AND AIDS OFFICER
GRADE: F/M3
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be serving Principal Nutrition, HIV and AIDs Officers with a minimum of four years of experience at that grade in Local Authorities.
DUTIES
Lead and manage the district nutrition, HIV and Aids program
Supervise and mentor district Nutrition, HIV and Aids staff.
Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders at district level.
Provide technical assistance on Nutrition, HIV and Aids programming.
Develop and implement district level Strategic plans, guidelines, protocols and training plans.
Conduct needs assessments and situation analyses.
Monitor and evaluate program progress.
identify and address program gaps and challenges.
Advocate for Nutrition, HIV and Aids Priorities.
Build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders.
Engage and collaborate with local communities, leaders and organizations.
Identify and mobilize resources (financial, human, material).
Prepare and submit regular reports and keep records.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EMPLOYMENT TERMS:
Successful candidates must be willing to be deployed in remote areas.
