Job Description

CHS is a Christian Primary School which is a ministry of Capital City Baptist Church located in Area 14 in Lilongwe. The overall objective of CHS is to contribute to the reduction of poverty in lives of the next generation by providing high quality education particularly targeting the less privileged children.

  • Client orientation: Acknowledgement that students are the focus of the school and ensuring that their parents and guardians are respected, informed and professionally advised.

  • Operational effectiveness: The ability to ensure that full use is made of the systems, procedures and culture to deliver the desired outputs.

EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP AND SCHOOL MANAGEMENT:

  • Provide leadership to a planning process designed and intended to assure the School’s readiness and ability to provide a sound, relevant, and spiritual educational experience for students.
  • Be responsible for the overall operation of the School’s programs, human resources, and facilities.
  • Oversee all administrative, academic, extra curricula, and student programs to achieve a complete Christian education experience.
  • Recruit teaching and administrative personnel whose philosophies match those of the School.
  • Develop and apply strategies to continuously improve administrative, teaching and staff professional development, salaries and benefits.
  • Develop and implement a positive reinforcing system for evaluating effective teaching, strengthening the curriculum, and encouraging professional development.
  • Provide the leadership and management skills necessary to maximize the efforts of teachers and students in an environment conducive to spiritual and educational enhancement, growth, and achievement.
  • Remain abreast of educational trends.

PROFESSIONALQUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with over 10 years of work experience half of which spent at school management levels.
