We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to join our growing team.

THE CIVIL PROJECT ENGINEER ROLE
To support our ongoing growth, we are seeking applications for an experienced Civil Project Engineer.
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Providing engineering and technical support at the site
- Ensuring all civil engineering project work complies with the project design
- Ensuring the civils contractor delivers safely on scope, time, and within budget
- Assisting with resourcing plant, labour, and subcontractors
- Monitoring quality control of both contractors and sub-contractor teams
- Preparing work schedules and assigning work priorities
- Evaluating pricing, quotes, and estimates from contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Developing project deliverables for site execution including work packs
- Reviewing progress measurement reports from contractors
To succeed in this role, you will possess the following:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Civil Construction with experience in roads, bulk earthworks, and TSF construction
- Strong contractor management experience
- Strong Civil Project Engineering background and previous site experience within mining projects
- Strong all-round communication skills to manage client interactions and ability to lead others
- Ability to prioritize, manage time well, multi-task, and troubleshoot
- Experience in project planning, scheduling, and reporting skills
- Project financial & cost management skills and ability to prepare accurate forecasts and reports on project status
- Experience in driving performance improvements and/or change in projects with clear success indicators
- A pro-active, can-do attitude and the ability to hit the ground running
Eligibility: Candidates must be eligible to work in Malawi. Candidates will be asked to complete a National Police Clearance prior to employment.
