Job Description
The Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians for the following vacancies existing at Nkhata Bay District Council.
POST: Clinical Officer (Orthopaedic)
Grade: M6
Qualifications:
Applicants must be serving Senior Clinical Technician (Orthopaedic) (Grade M7) with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience at that grade in the Local Authorities or in possession of a Bachelor’s degree
in Orthopaedic.
Duties:
i Perform both minor and major orthopaedic operations on their own;
ii Ensure effective case management at health institutions;
iii Conduct ward rounds;
iv Provide clinical instructions to interns, qualified clinicians;
v Comfortably run the emergency Medical services and Casualty;
vi Responsible to DHSS.
vii Conduct routine health centre visits.
