Join the Makazi Foundation as a Community Outreach Volunteer

The Makazi Foundation is expanding its team of dedicated volunteers committed to empowering youth and strengthening communities in Malawi. We are seeking motivated individuals with a passion for community service and development to contribute meaningfully to our ongoing projects in Blantyre.

Role Overview: As a volunteer, you will work alongside a passionate team, contributing to projects that address key issues in education, health, environment and youth empowerment. You will play an active role in implementing programs, engaging with the community, and supporting our mission to uplift vulnerable populations.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Education, Public Health, Environmental Studies, Developmental Studies, Business Administration etc.). Degree should have been obtained in 2018 and onwards.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a related field.
  • Demonstrable evidence of community service or involvement in social causes.
  • Currently residing in Blantyre, Malawi.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of commitment, reliability, and integrity.
  • Prior experience in NGOs or community-based projects is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and executing community-based projects.
  • Engage directly with community members, ensuring the Foundation’s goals are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities and contribute to project reporting.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and address community needs.
  • Uphold the Foundation’s values of empathy, respect, and accountability in all interactions.
