COMMUNITY RELATIONS ADVISOR / OFFICER

We are seeking an experienced Community Relations Advisor / Officer to join our growing team.

The Company

Lindian Resources is an Australian company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX:LIN) with world class rare earths and bauxite assets in Malawi and Guinea. The Kangankunde Rare Earths Project in Malawi is the cornerstone of Lindian’s asset portfolio and ranks amongst some of the best underdeveloped rare earth assets in the world. Our assets will provide critical minerals to fuel the technologies of tomorrow, driving innovation and supporting the world’s energy transition.

Through the development of the Kangankunde Project, Lindian is set to become a globally significant rare earths producer.

The Role

To support our ongoing growth, we are seeking applications from experienced Community Relations Advisors / Officers.

Reporting to the Manager Community and Government Relations, you will be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships of trust with community members, key individuals, and other organizations
  • Supporting the development of the Stakeholder Engagement Plan and carrying out successful engagements
  • Contributing to the development of the Community and Social Performance strategy
  • Leading the development of a Social Investment Plan to positively impact the Kangankunde community
  • Coordinating Lindian’s participation in key community engagement activities and opportunities
  • Managing the handling of enquiries and complaints in line with the enquiry and complaint procedure
  • Collaborating with internal functions to drive outcomes required to meet Lindian’s social performance ambitions and commitments
  • Identifying and addressing challenges in managing human rights and sharing knowledge and insights on respecting human rights

To succeed in this role, you will possess the following:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a relevant discipline
  • A proven track record of extensive practical experience in a similar role with a focus on stakeholder engagement and community relations
  • Well-developed verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • A valid driver’s license

  • Ethical judgment and integrity

Eligibility: Candidates must be eligible to work in Malawi. Candidates will be asked to complete a National Police Clearance prior to employment.
