The Catholic University of Malawi invites applications from suitably qualified people for the following full-time positions tenable at Montfort campus, Nguludi- Chiradzulu:
ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS
POSITION: COUNSELLOR (Female)
JOB PURPOSE
Inspired by the example of Jesus who healed people by transforming their narratives, the Catholic University of Malawi elevates integral formation and wellbeing of human persons. In a world characterised by uncertainty, students and staff need psycho-social support to help them deal with adaptive situational challenges. The role of the counsellor is thus to accompany and provide psycho-social resources to students and staff at the Catholic University.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To provide counselling to students and staff;
2. To promote formation in human development through seminars and workshops;
3. To strengthen the culture of safeguarding among staff and students;
4. To champion human development outreach programmes;
5. To develop resources for supporting personal growth anddevelopment;
6. To prepare analytical reports relating to human development OND challenges facing staff and students;
7. To undertake any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. At least a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from an accredited institution;
2. A certificate in counselling from a recognised institution;
3. At least three years of experience in counselling:
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills;
5. Female applicants will have an added advantage.
