leverages existing health investments to significantly enhance facility performance, improve patient

The Malawi Country Director’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Key Responsibilities

  1. Spearhead a results-oriented country strategy, driving impactful program execution and
    advocating for LifeNet’s success in Malawi.
    ● Develop & Implement Country Strategy: Lead the creation and implementation of a
    documented annual country strategy for Malawi, aligned with LifeNet’s global vision and goals.
    ● Drive Results Through Action: Develop and execute quarterly action plans with measurable
    targets contributing to the annual strategy.
    ● Oversee Program Performance: Manage program design, implementation, monitoring, and
    evaluation, ensuring alignment with program targets and the country strategy.
    ● Champion Impact & Accountability: Lead data collection and reporting of KPIs, program
    results, and success stories, while fostering data-driven decision making and advocating for
    LifeNet’s work in Malawi.
  2. Secure critical resources through strategic partnerships and deliver impactful programs that
    demonstrate strong return on investment.
    ● Forge Funding Partnerships: Identify and pursue funding opportunities through collaboration
    with NGOs and donors.
    ● Cultivate Donor Relationships: Build connections with diverse donors to secure funding for
    Malawian programs.
    ● Develop Winning Proposals: Partner with VP of Advancement to craft high-quality funding
    proposals that meet deadlines.
    ● Manage Grants Effectively: Oversee all aspects of Malawi-specific grants, ensuring timely and
    high-quality deliverables.
  3. Cultivate a high-performing, well-supported team while optimizing operations and ensuring
    responsible financial management.
    ● Lead & Develop High-Performing Team: Foster a culture aligned with LifeNet’s values and
    manage all aspects of Malawian staff HR.
    ● Ensure Financial Stewardship: Oversee budgeting, financial analysis, and compliance with
    Malawian regulations.
    ● Safeguard Assets & Security: Manage LifeNet assets, implement security protocols, and
    navigate legal matters (if necessary).
    ● Optimize Operations: Manage day-to-day tasks and champion continuous improvement
    through staff development.
    ● Promote Staff Well-Being: Cultivate a supportive work environment that prioritizes staff care.
  4. Build and leverage strategic partnerships to empower Malawian health facilities and amplify
    LifeNet’s impact.
    ● Forge Strategic Alliances: Cultivate partnerships with key stakeholders like government,
    donors, NGOs, and faith-based organizations.
    ● Empower Health Facilities: Manage and develop partnerships with Malawian health facilities,
    promoting best practices and ensuring alignment with LifeNet’s vision.
    ● Champion LifeNet’s Brand: Foster a strong reputation for LifeNet in Malawi, highlighting its
    commitment to quality healthcare.
    ● Document Partnership: Maintain accurate registration documents and MOUs for smooth
    program implementation.
  5. Foster a Christ-centered, values-driven work environment that inspires integrity and service in
    Malawi.
    ● Ensure that the Malawi office represents Christ well in all activities in a manner appropriate to
    the Malawi context, with a reputation for integrity, stewardship, and humility.
    ● Model high standards of personal Christian leadership and integrity through lifestyle and work
    relationships, and provide spiritual guidance to staff on LifeNet’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
    ● Participate in and lead regular prayer or devotional meetings.
    Qualifications
    ● Commitment and passion for LifeNet’s mission, vision, and values.
    ● Alignment with LifeNet’s Christian identity and mission philosophy, with an ability to work with
    all denominations.
    ● Master’s degree in relevant field (Public Health, Business Admin, etc.) preferred.
    ● Proven leadership experience with a strong track record of results.
    ● Expertise in program management (design, monitoring, evaluation) in resource-limited settings.
    ● Strong financial skills (budgeting, accounting, grant management).
    ● Team leadership experience building and managing high-performing teams.
    ● Donor experience with securing funding for development programs.
    ● Strategic thinker with a proven track record of developing successful country strategies.
    ● Excellent communication & relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders.
    ● Strong written and oral communication skills in English are required.
    ● Travel flexibility within Malawi and potentially internationally.
