SOLICITATION FOR USAID DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM SPECIALIST (PRIVATE SECTOR)
POSITION, FSN-12
BASIC FUNCTION
The Development Objective Team Lead is a member of USAID/Malawi’s Program Development and
Analysis Office (PDA) Strategic Integration Team, and provides evidence-based, senior-level expertise and advice for both sector-specific and cross-sector/integrated programming across the full range of the Program Cycle
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: The complex, highly strategic, technical, and visible nature of the position requires at
a minimum, a Master’s Degree in economics, business management, business administration,
international marketing, international development, international trade and finance, or related
subject is required.
Prior Work Experience: A minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in positions with
progressively greater responsibility, leadership, and staff management is required.
Language Proficiency: Excellent written and oral English communication skills, particularly strong
writing and editing skills, are required. S/he must have the ability to summarize and synthesize
information from a wide variety of sources into cohesive, polished written and oral communication.
Level IV English and Chichewa required both orally and in writing.
Salary range: $38,426-$59,580 (basic salary, paid in local currency Kwacha at the prevailing exchange rate), equivalent to FSN-12.
