COTTON COUNCIL OF MALAWI was established by the Cotton Act of 2013 with the mandate to regulate, develop and improve the cotton industry in Malawi. The Vision of CCM is to become a progressive regulator effectively contributing to the development of a sustainable cotton industry.
The Mission of the council is to contribute to the growth of the cotton industry through development of standards and regulations, ensuring adherence to fair trade practices by value chain players, promotion of sustainable innovation and information sharing through a competent and committed workforce.
CCM wishes to recruit suitably qualified, experienced and dedicated individuals to fill the following posts:
POSTS:
Job Title: Driver (1)
Duty Station: Head Office (Lilongwe)
Reporting: Administration Officer
Purpose of the post
To dive the Council’s vehicles in transporting members of staff, visitors and goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring that vehicles are kept clean all the time
- Transporting members of staff and visitors as assigned
- Delivering mail, packages from/to various stakeholders including loading and offloading
official items/goods - Maintaining minor vehicle faults and reporting of faults
- Reporting vehicle accidents to police and relevant authorities
- Carrying out routine checks on motor vehicles condition
- Checking and advising on vehicle roadworthiness and insurance.
- Consolidating and submit monthly vehicle reports to Administration.
Qualifications and Experience
- Malawi School Certificate of Education
- Valid Driving License
- A minimum of two years’ experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of motor vehicles
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to function in a team
