Job Description

Nambuma Community Hospital is a Roman Catholic Mission Hospital under the archdiocese of Lilongwe and operates under Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM). It is situated in the North-West of Lilongwe District in the central region of Malawi. It is geographically and environmentally hard to reach area more especially during rainy season as it is located in the remotest area; about 46 kilometres from capital city Lilongwe. The Hospital is urgently inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals for this position:

POSITION:  DRIVER (GRADE N) 1 POST

Applicants for above post should have the following:

  • Malawi school Leaving Certificate
  • Driving Licence
  • Must have knowledge in mechanics.
  • At least two years’ experience

DUTIES

  1. Driving the vehicle to point of delivery using the best possible route.
  2. Maintaining the vehicles inside and outside in a clean organized and safe condition.
  3. Ensuring that delivery notes are signed by the person receiving the goods.
  4. Following standard regulation and rules of the road at all times.
  5. Adhering to Hospitals’ operating policies and procedures.
  6. Making sure that log books are properly filled and signed by the responsible officer.
  7. Reporting any vehicles’ faults to right authority.
  8. Making sure that both general and preventive maintenance measures are performed on the vehicles.
  9. Making sure that all vehicles’ documents are valid.
  10. Any other duties deemed reasonable for the post.

RENUMERATION

A competitive remuneration package in line with Government of Malawi System will be offered to successful candidates.
