Job Description
The Salima-Lilongwe Water Supply Company (SLWSC) Limited is a Special Purpose ‹ Vehicle (SPV) incorporated by the Malawi Government for implementation of the Salima-Lilongwe Water Supply Project.
The Company’s mandate is to manage implementation of the Salima-Lilongwe Water Supply Project, and to develop and manage water resources for raw and potable bulk water supply to support the socio-economic development of Malawi. The Salima-Lilongwe Water Supply Company invites applications from suitably qualified candidates of Malawian origin to fill the following vacant position:
DRIVER
Job Title: Driver

Reporting Responsibility: Head Driver
Supervision Exercised: NA
Purpose of the Job
To facilitate mobility of staff in pursuit of the goals of SLWSC through the provision of transport
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Drive members of staff and visitors as assigned;
- Ensure that vehicles are kept clean;
- Maintain log book for the assigned vehicle;
- Deliver mail, packages from/to various stakeholders including loading and off-loading official items picked;
- Report breakdowns and accidents;
- Carry out routine check-up of the vehicles including but not limited to oil, brake function, water, lights and tyres;
- Check and advise on vehicles certification to ensure timely renewal;
- Consolidate and submit monthly vehicles status report to supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
- Malawi School Certificate of Education
- Valid Grade 3 driving license
- Defensive Driving License
- A minimum of Five (5) years’ work experience
