ELECTRICIAN
Mwaiwathu Private Hospital invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Electrician tenable at the Hospital along Chileka road in Blantyre.
Position Context
Reporting to Maintenance Team Leader, the Electrician will ensure the proper functioning of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment at all times
Specific duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- To install electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, control and lighting systems.
- To conduct regular inspections of electrical and electronics components.
- To identify electrical and electronics problems using relevant testing devices
- To ensure that power backup system is well maintained.
- To repair faulty electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, control and lighting systems.
- To implement preventive maintenance plan related to electrical and electronics systems and components
Educational Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of Grade I National Trade Test Certificate in Electrical Installation.
- Malawi School Certificate of Education
Requisite knowledge, abilities and skills
- Ability to interpret electrical schedules
- Familiar with occupational health and safety measures
- Ability to work at odd hours
- Team player
- Physically fit
- Effective communication skills
- Mature
- Honest and trustworthy
