Job Description
Lilongwe University of Agriculture & Natural Resources (LUANAR) and the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU), are jointly implementing a four-year ‘Sustainable Food Systems in Malawi (FoodMa) Programme.
The main objective of Food Ma is to provide ‘evidence based solutions’ that will strengthen local food systems in Malawi.
Having implemented the programme for 3 years, LUANAR is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to be considered for temporary positions of Enumerators who will collect data for the Mid Term Review.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
1. A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in agriculture related courses;
2) hose with at least 1 year experience as an enumerator will have an added advantage;
3)Must possess a smart phone with Android version 9.0 and above that can support Computer Applications such as Survey Solutions, ODK, and or Kobo toolbox;
4) In-depth questioning in local languages (Chewa and Tumbuka) and active listening skills;
5) Familiar and willing to travel extensively and in hard-to-reach areas;
6) Able to walk long distances and in odd hours;
7) Must be available for the whole period of the survey.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENGAGEMENT
The successful candidates shall be engaged on a contract of at least TEN (10) days spanning between July 2024 and August 2024.
