FACILITIES OFFICER INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

An internship opportunity has arisen for graduates interested in pursuing a career in our Corporate Division.

MTL internship programme offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working in a technically advanced telecommunications company.

You will work with a team of professionals using leading-edge systems and tools to create innovative solutions. You will also get to learn more about MTL and future job opportunities.

Application Attributes

We are looking for Bachelor’s Degree candidates in Land Economy, Quantity Surveying, Physical Planning or related qualifications.

Our graduate internship is open to all fresh graduates from accredited institutions of higher learning. The internship offers an opportunity for candidates to;

  • Work in a team environment where you will collaborate with others and continue to grow your skills in areas such as tenancy and occupancy management, co-siting management, office maintenance and records management as well as supervisory of contractors.
  • Work with leading-edge technology to meet the challenges of the communications industry.
  • Learn about the telecommunications industry and gain invaluable experience working on challenging projects.

Specific Departmental Requirements

Applicants should have the following basic knowledge and attributes:

  • Maintenance of office buildings and residential houses
  • Management of workplace Health and Safety regulations
  • Marketing and Financial functions in real estate management
  • Co-siting
  • Inspection of contractors’ work
  • Record keeping and administration
  • Staff supervision
  • Good working relationship with supervisors and workmates.
  •  Ready to work odd hours
  • Strong verbal and personal communication skills
  • Decision making, critical thinking, organizing and planning
  • Must have good organizational skills and the ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments, and deadlines
  • Must have solid knowledge of MS Office Suite

Duration of Internship

This internship will be for a period of 12 months. You will be required to work at MTL offices in Blantyre.

Do I expect a job after completion?

MTL does not guarantee jobs after the internship. However, the Company will give priority to the best candidates and consider them for employment depending on available opportunities on completion of the internship. A token internship allowance at the level set by the company shall be paid.
