Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates of Malawian origin to fill Non-Established (NE) posts available in the Education Sector of Balaka District Council. The recruitment has been made possible with funding from the Save the Children Fund under a Numeracy and Literacy Program to be implemented for five (5) years from 2024 to 2028.
The posts are as follows:
Title : Field Facilitator(s)
Reporting to : Program Coordinator
Responsibilities
- Support the program coordinator in planning and implementing program activities at the community and school level.
- Mobilize and engage community members in program initiatives.
- Provide support and guidance to beneficiaries on program activities.
- Conduct field visits to monitor program progress and outcomes.
- Facilitate community and school meetings and focus group discussions.
- Support the organization of training and workshops for community members
- Identify and address challenges and barriers to program implementation.
- Promote child protection and education awareness in the community.
- Maintain regular communication with the project team and collect and report on data from field activities.
- Ensure the participation of children and youth in project activities.
- Build relationships with local and community stakeholders to support program goals.
- Any other roles assigned.

Qualification and Experience
- A minimum of a Diploma in Community Development, Social Work, Education, Project Management, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of work experience in a similar setting.
- Proficiency in computer explications.
