Concern invites applications from interested candidates qualified for the following Internship positions;
Finance, Logistics and Administration Intern – (1 Vacancy)
Duration: Five (5) Months
Duty Station: Lilongwe
The Intern will support the Logistics and Administration functions and teams to run smoothly in close collaboration with others in the Concern Malawi programme team and in compliance with Concern’s Policies and Procedures while learning and gaining hands on experience in Logistics and Administration in Concern
Specific Intern Outputs
- Support the Logistics Assistant in organizing receipt, dispatch, loading and offloading of goods or supplies from stores that have been authorized on Release Requests (RR) by the relevant Officers
- Support the Procurement Officer with small procurements including ensuring timely delivery of procurement requests including follow ups with suppliers and alerting requestors on order delivery for their verifications and planning and updating the SR Tracker
- Support the Transport Officer in preparation & review of transport & fuel documentation
- Support in maintaining files of all relevant paperwork and documentation
- Support the HR and Administration Manager in Administration tasks assigned
- Immediately report to Mentor any accidents/incidents
- Any other duties assigned by the Mentor
Qualifications
- A Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration, Commerce or any other relevant field
- No Experience required
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office packages particularly MS Word and MS Excel
- Knowledge of Logistics and Administration principles
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills
- Good communication skills in English and Chichewa
- Keen attention to detail and a high concentration span
- Willingness and ability to learn
- A high level of integrity
Finance Intern – (1 Vacancy)
Duration: Five (5) Months
Duty Station: Lilongwe
The Intern will provide support to the finance department in daily operations, gain hands-on experience in financial management, and learn about the financial processes within an organisational setting
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Support in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Support to organize and manage financial documents, including invoices, receipts, and statements.
- Support to input financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets.
- Support in the preparation of financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing account information.
- Support in processing accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Help in reconciling vendor statements and customer accounts.
- Support in preparing for internal and external audits
- Provide general administrative support to the finance department as needed
- Any other duties assigned by the Mentor
Qualifications
- A Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
- Knowledge of accounting and finance principles
- Proficient using Microsoft applications particularly MS Excel and MS Word
- Good interpersonal and documentation skills
- High degree of integrity
- Keen attention to detail and a high concentration span
- Willingness and ability to learn
