Job Description

MIRACLE Technical Institute is a Karonga based national private Technical College that offers Technical Skills Training in Electrical Installation and Electronics, Solar Photovoltaic Installation, Cosmetology, Tailoring and Fashion Design, Food Production, Carpentry and Joinery and Computer Studies. The institute also offers training in Community Development, and Information Communication Technology.

JOB BRIEF

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented and qualified Food Production Instructor. The Instructor will be responsible for teaching and delivering high-quality instruction to students in line with TEVETA guidelines and M.I.R.A.C.L.E Technical Institute terms and conditions of service.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

The applicant MUST be:

1) Holder of Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Food Production, Culinary Arts, or Hospitality Management.

2) At least three (3) years of teaching or professional experience in the food production industry. Teaching experience, preferably in a technical or vocational institution will be an added advantage.

3) Strong practical and theoretical knowledge in food production and related fields.

4) Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

5) Experience in hands-on training and practical demonstrations.

6) A passion for food production and fostering student growth.

7) Be organized with excellent leadership abilities.

8) Have a high level of integrity.

9) Be aged between 25 – 45.

10) Certification in TEVETA or a recognized training program is an added advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver high-quality instruction in food production and culinary techniques.
  • Ensure students gain hands-on experience in food preparation and hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and management to enhance program quality.
  • Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, course materials, and conduct assessments for students.
  • Ensure that students acquire the necessary skills and knowledge in Food Production
  • Maintain a positive learning environment and provide support and guidance to students.
  • Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement of the program.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure program success
  • Offer career guidance to students interested in advancing in food production fields.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards during practical training sessions.
