GRADUATE TRAINEE PROGRAM
An opportunity has arisen for recent graduates in relevant disciplines to undergo an exciting and intensive Graduate Trainee program in NBS Bank Plc. The program will run for 12 to 18 months and shall give a rare opportunity to Trainees to work alongside the Bank’s talented and motivated staff to offer a range of services to the Bank’s clients under Retail and Corporate, National and Multinational, including Government and Nongovernmental organisations.
Trainees will have an opportunity to work on challenging bank projects, receive mentorship and coaching, and develop/build a network of professional contacts.
PURPOSE
The Bank’s Graduate Trainee program will provide an opportunity for high performing candidates from diverse professional backgrounds to get integrated into the banking profession and grow professionally to occupy substantive positions in the structure of the Bank covering (but not limited to) Corporate Banking, Credit Risk Management, Investment Banking, People Management, Finance Management, Banking Information Systems, and Operations Management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Graduate Trainees will be responsible for the following non-exhaustive roles:
- Assist in the development and implementation of projects and initiatives
- Conduct research and analysis to inform business decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be Graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in the following preferred disciplines – Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Information Systems, and Statistics, from recognized and reputable institutions of higher learning, obtained between 2022 and 2024.
- Candidates with distinction and credit grades will have an added advantage.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic banking environment.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Must demonstrate high levels of computer aptitude (Microsoft office tools and programs).
