Duties and Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
Formulating and Implementing Sales Strategy
- Coordinates the implementation of sales and brand strategy in-country.
- Understands sales performance metrics and uses data to identify trends, optimize strategies, and inform decision-making.
- Leads activations and drives marketing campaigns in country.
- Develops a sales approach, scripts, and messaging for a campaign.
- Takes custodianship of the Mukuru brand and maintenance of that standard.
- Engages with potential and existing customers to advise on and provide product support.
Sales Team Management
- Conducts periodic audits of sales agent sites.
- Provides guidance and support to Regional Sales Supervisors and Area Leads in the execution of their duties.
- Liaises with HR and Sales Department Management to resolve any staff issues.
- Solves escalated queries.
- Facilitates training for new and existing sales staff in line with business requirements.
Monitoring Agent Performance and Coaching Towards Stretch Goals
- Monitors individual team members’ performance and targets.
- Leads weekly team meetings to discuss product performance.
- Coaches the sales supervisors towards stretch goals.
- Carries out inspections of sales agent operating sites.
- Conducts periodic country tours of agent sites.
- Conducts brand audit of partner and vertical sites.
National Sales Budget Management
- Develops and monitors the budgets for sales activities and marketing material.
Generate Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Sales Reports
- Generates and submits reports to the Country Manager on sales and marketing opportunities and activities.
Manage Own Professional and Self-Development
- Attends monthly KPI meetings with Line Manager.
- Completes all required compliance training and assignments.
- Attends all required training.
Key Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma
- Professional certification in marketing
- 4 years experience in Sales
- 1 year supervisory experience
- Knowledge of KYC guidelines
- Knowledge of how to generate marketing collateral
- Knowledge of Mukuru products and services
- Knowledge of regulatory and operational context
- Knowledge of customer service
