Job Description

Location: Lilongwe Golf Club, Lilongwe

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources & Administration Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all HR and administrative functions to ensure the efficient operation of the club.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Management 

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new employees.
  • Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements.
  • Conduct performance management and provide coaching and guidance to staff.
  • Handle disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures.

Training & Development

  • Identify and assess training needs within the organization.
  • Organize and conduct training and development programs.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and make improvements as needed.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Make recommendations on employee benefits programs.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Administration

  • Oversee administrative functions to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Ensure the club’s administrative processes are efficient and effective.
  • Develop and maintain administrative systems, procedures, and policies.

Compliance:

  • Ensure the organization complies with al employment laws.
  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Employee Relations

  • Foster a positive working environment.
  • Resolve conflicts through positive and professional mediation.
  • Promote employee engagement and well-being.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2 to 3 years working experience as an HR officer.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Ability to implement strategy
  • leadership skills.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
