Namadzi Bottlers, an affiliate of Watercom under the Oilcom Group, is a water bottling company located in Zomba, Malawi. The company produces Namadzi Spring Water from natural springs, aiming to be the fastest-growing water bottling company in the region. Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Human Resources Manager at Namadzi Bottlers in Zomba. The HR Manager will oversee all human resources functions, ensuring the effective management of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll processing, and compliance with labor laws and company policies.

The role will require close collaboration with senior leadership to develop HR strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives. Key responsibilities include handling employee onboarding and training, maintaining accurate HR records, implementing HR policies and systems, managing disciplinary procedures, and ensuring a productive work environment. The HR Manager will also be responsible for processing payroll, tracking leave and attendance, and maintaining compliance with Malawi’s labor laws and industry regulations.

Qualifications

  • Strong HR management, recruitment, and employee relations skills
  • Proven experience in training, performance management, and employee development
  • Knowledge of Malawi labor laws and HR compliance regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in payroll processing, maintaining employee records, and tracking leave
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with employees at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to mediate workplace conflicts
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
