EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

The Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) is seeking to hire qualified and experienced candidates for the following positions within its Engineering and ICT Services Directorate:

ICT Officer – Infrastructure (1 position)

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages network and storage infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, Internet, and NAS)
  • Provides first-line technical support to all users.
  • Performs routine maintenance on all broadcasting systems
  • Plans and ensures scalability of ICT infrastructure.
  • Manages ICT inventories.
  • Collaborates with service providers to resolve technical issues.
  • Monitors and maintains systems.
  • Implements and maintains security measures to protect computer systems and data.
  • Any other duties as assigned from time to time

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in ICT/Computer Science/ Electrical/ Electronic Engineering.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
  • Extensive practical knowledge of TCP/IP and troubleshooting skills preferred.
  • Practical experience with storage infrastructure management.
