Job Description: Instructional Designer

We are seeking for a creative and proactive Instructional Designer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative, engaging, and effective learning experiences. The ideal candidate will collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to design, develop, and implement educational content across various platforms, ensuring that our training programs align with organizational goals and improve the overall learning experience for our audience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize online learning experiences (including, but not limited to, videos, quizzes, gamification, animation, voice tools and interactions) based on sound instructional theory for promoting the acquisition of knowledge or to assess knowledge. 
  • Apply instructional design principles to meet learning outcomes. 
  • Transfer information from texts in creative ways to create and scaffold unique online learning experiences. 
  • Produce written scripts of a high standard that demonstrate an understanding of the training outcomes. 
  • Create storyboards for online learning experiences based on specified texts, frameworks and outcomes. 
  • Participate in, and contribute to, training sessions and workshops. 
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities and tight schedules
  • Effect changes based on peer and stakeholder feedback. 
  • Package all learning material for integration into the learner management system. 
  • Use authoring tools (such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, etc.) to create interactive eLearning modules, videos, and other digital learning resources.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, managers, and team members to gather input, validate content, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in instructional design, eLearning, and educational technology to bring innovative solutions to our learning programs.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Business or a related field.
  • Minimumof 2 years of experience in instructional design, preferably in a corporate or educational setting.
  • Proficiency in instructional design software (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), multimedia tools (e.g., Camtasia, Vyond), and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Strong skills in developing multimedia learning assets, including graphics, audio, and video, to enhance learning experiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with learning analytics and data interpretation to assess training effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex ideas simply and clearly.
