Job Description

Thondwe Village Polytechnic Vocational Training Institute (hereafter called TVP) is a registered and an interdenominational Christian training college which offers a thorough vocation training in Tailoring and Fashion Designing, carpentry and Joinery and Bricklaying. The college is based in Zomba precisely Thondwe.

Thondwe Village Polytechnic is looking for a:

INSTRUCTOR IN BRICKLAYING

Responsibilities

  • Teaching all technical related subjects (construction fundamentals, occupation and workshop practice) to all levels.
  • Setting, supervising and marking of examination.
  • Evaluating, assessing and inspecting the college regularly.
  • Offer advisory services to students according to Christian standard.
  • Custodian of all tools and equipment.
  • Perusing the vision of the school.

Qualifications and attributes for the position

  • Must be a holder of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
  • Must possess Diploma in Construction.
  • Must have successfully completed a recognized indentured apprenticeship.
  • Strong Christian background and be prepared to do mult-skilled tasks.
