Microloan Foundation (Malawi) Limited is a premier microfinance institution which provides financial services and training support to help women set up and manage

sustainable businesses in their communities. We are currently seeking dynamic andenergetic individuals to assist with driving the balanced growth of our portfolio of borrowing customers at various branches in the Northern, Central and Southern Regionsof Malawi.

OVERVIEW

Are you a recent graduate or a young professional looking to kickstart your career insales and marketing? Do you have a passion for woman empowerment? If so, you arethe one we seek to join our team as an Intern Client officer for 6 months in the following

districts: Blantyre, Mzuzu, Lilongwe, Salima, Dowa and Zomba.

This is an opportunity to acquire skills in microlending and open your avenues to variouscareer destinations in the microfinance sector. You will be locally placed in the assignedbranch where you will report to the Branch Manager and be supported by our bestperforming Client Officers for on-the-job training. Based on performance and uponsuccessful completion of the internship, you could be considered for a full-time role ofClient Officer, subject to availability of vacancies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



> Assist in identifying and contacting potential Clients.



> Maximise the visibility of the Microloan brand by actively and positivelypromoting the company in the communities where the branch operates.



> Develop and maintain client relationships.



> Provide financial literacy training, basic entrepreneurial training, or other relevanttechnical support to clients to assure their business viability and ongoing ability

to successfully service their loans.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:



> A minimum of a diploma in Accounting, Business Admin/Commerce, Marketing, Community Development or related fields.



> Strong communication and interpersonal skills.



> Passion for sales and a desire to learn especially on empowering poor women in Malawi.



> Ability to work independently and as part of a team.



> Basic understanding of customer relationships and Microfinance sector in Malawi



> High self-motivation and the discipline to plan work and meet deadlines



> Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills



> A solution-oriented outlook, exceptional integrity and a strong work ethic



> Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly use of Excel for data analysis



> Knowledge of the loan origination and credit risk management processes



> The ability to build sustainable relationships with customers and communities
