MASM Medi Clinics Ltd (MMCL) is a leading private affordable health care services provider in Malawi
with Clinics in Blantyre, Zomba, Lilongwe, and Mzuzu. Our Clinics serve ALL types of schemes from all
medical insurances, company in-house medical schemes as well as those paying out of pocket. In an effort to strengthen its technical capacity, the Company invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following vacant posts:

INTERNAL MEDICINE CONSULTANT

Job Summary

To improve the quality of clinical and emergency care at MMCL, the Company seeks to recruit an Internal Medicine Consultant. S/he will be expected to possess high level knowledge and expertise to contribute to our vision of providing high quality and affordable health care services in Malawi.

Reports to: The Medical Director

Location: Kanjedza Clinic

Roles And Responsibilities

a. Provide direct patient care in both in-patient and out-patient settings including NCD and advanced
HIV care clinics.
b. Travel to satellite Clinics of the company to conduct clinics.
c. Manage a high dependency unit and coordinate the transfer of severely ill patients to a high-level
referral facility.
d. Participate in overnight and weekend calls.
e.
Provide direct supervision and mentorship to junior staff including Medical Officers, Clinical Officers
and Clinical Technicians.
f. Lead meetings such as morbidity and mortality audits.
g. Develop system-improvement-programs to improve quality of health care services within MMCL.
h. Willing to guide the company to expand and improve service delivery.

i. Other duties assigned by management.

Educational Qualifications Experience And Attributes

  • MMed in Internal Medicine or equivalent.
  • Up to date registration with the relevant regulatory authorities.
  • Experience working in critical care units will be a plus.
  • Must be willing to work with clients of all backgrounds and social status.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Trustworthy and compassionate in character.
  • Impeccable bedside manner.
  • Willing to put patient and interests of the company first.
