Job Description
Kansai Plascon Malawi Limited is a premium paint manufacturer and distribution company and part of the global paint giant “Kansai Paints” of Japan. An opportunity has arisen for the position of Inventory Clerk tenable at its head office and factory at Makata in Blantyre. The main purpose of the position is to keep track of materials and products movements, to ensure enhanced efficiency within KPML supply chain setup. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be expected to deliver the following KPIs among others:
1. Monitor stock levels, track inventory movements and maintain accurate records.
2. Inspect incoming goods, verify receipts and ensure compliance with quality standards.
3. Organize and maintain storage areas, ensure proper labelling and categorization.
4. Process requests, issue receipts, issue supplies and distribute materials to departments or personnel.
5. Maintain accurate and up to date records of inventory, receipts and issuances.
6. Generate reports on inventory levels, usage and trends.
7. Ensure adherence to organizational policies, safety regulations and security protocols.
8. Suggest process improvements and implement changes.
9. Any other duties as assigned by management from time to time.
Qualifications
Interested applicants should possess a full Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) obtained at one sitting with credits in Mathematics and English. Further, the candidate should have either of the following professional qualifications:
- PAEC Diploma
- ACCA Diploma
- CIPS Diploma
Personal Attributes
- Computer literacy in Microsoft excel, Sage 300 and other computer packages
- High levels of integrity
- Team player
- Sober habits
