Job Description
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the set-up and implementation of operating processes, Standard Operating Procedures, Systems & Controls,
- Develop & Execute the Journey plans
- Plan innovative transport solutions to enhance both internal & external (customer) value addition
- Assist the Operations Manager to implement quality/productivity initiatives to ensure continual improvement
- Motivate the team (Bulk Vehicle Operators) to achieve their goals & targets
Qualifications/Experience.
- At least Diploma in Logistics/Fleet Management/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.
- Proven track record in managing large, diverse fleets with a focus on maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience working with HSSEQ standards and conducting audits.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices, including preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repair management.
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations (e.g., road transport regulations, HSSEQ standards, vehicle safety protocols).
- Proficient in fleet management software and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to supervise and develop a team of drivers, mechanics, and workshop staff.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the ability to handle complex maintenance and operational challenges.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective reporting and collaboration across teams.
- Excellent Analytical Skills
