Africa Global Logistics Malawi Limited (formerly known as Bollore Transport & Logistics Malawi Limited), is a subsidiary of a multinational corporation MSC. Africa Global Logistics is a leading Freight Forwarding and Logistics company in the country. The company intends to recruit suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions tenable at our Kanengo offices in Lilongwe on fixed term contracts.
LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
The ideal candidate must have a Diploma in Laboratory. Those with other related fields preferably logistics and supply chain management will have an added advantage.
They also should have a minimum of three years’ laboratory experience in a warehousing and distribution preferably in a private pharmaceutical environment.
Reporting to the Pharmacy Logistics Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: –
- Ensuring that the laboratory products stored in the warehouse and distributed to various health centers are fit for their intended use
- Analyzing the laboratory products’ warehousing, packaging and distribution to ensure that they meet clients’ agreed specifications
- Assisting the Logistics Manager on planning the logistic cycle of laboratory and pharmaceutical products
- Ensuring regulatory compliance of warehouse operations including receiving and storage and real time documentation.
- Inspecting the approval or rejection of distribution vehicles based on season and suitability of vehicles to ensure compliance with set standards.
The ideal candidate must be registered with Medical Council of Malawi and free from any sanctions. He/she should be mature, results oriented and capable of working with minimum supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft excel, word and outlook is a pre-requisite for this position.
