Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews with individuals applying for loans to gather detailed information.
- Research applicants’ financial backgrounds, including references, credit history, and income verification.
- Complete all related documents accurately and efficiently.
- Recommend the approval or rejection of loan applications based on thorough assessments.
- Actively promote ACADES’ credit and loan services to potential clients.
- Review and update credit and loan files regularly.
- Prepare and manage statements for unpaid accounts.
- Negotiate repayment terms with customers and ensure timely loan collections. Follow up and collect loans when they are due.
Requirements
- College qualification, preferably in business administration, finance, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience working in microfinance, focusing on loan origination.
- Experience working and lending in the agricultural sector is a strong asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
- Proficient in standard accounting procedures and principles.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in using word processing, spreadsheet, internet, and email software.
- Experience with financial and accounting software is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Valid motorcycle license.
- Be willing to relocate to Mchinji, Lilongwe, Kasungu or Ntchisi districts.
