We are currently seeking an energetic and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our team and ensure the continued success of our brand.

Job Overview:
As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for effectively and efficiently manage the property facilities, gardens, equipment and staff housing to ensure optimal efficiencies and quality achieved. To attend to all repairs and maintenance requirements of the hotel and supervise all contractors.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Drawing annual maintenance activity planner in relation to the strategic business plan.
  • Ensuring availability of spares and tools at all times for smooth operation of activities
  • Ensuring that all outstanding jobs have been done by checking in the handover book on daily basis.
  • Formulating a maintenance schedule for each equipment in the hotel so that each equipment is serviced at the appropriate time
  • Conducting room care program regularly to ensure guests’ satisfaction through the inspection of room facilities.
  • Monitoring machine and equipment i.e. generator set and pump performance efficiency.
  • Training user departments on how to operate each equipment effectively to avoid frequent breakdowns when need arises.
  • Supervising and certifying contractors work by ensuring that it is carried out according to standards on need basis.
  • Monitoring energy consumption by recording meter readings for Electricity and Water on daily basis in order to take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Authorizes staff leave as per departmental leave planner and business levels for the smooth running of the department
  • Conducting training through demonstrations and lectures to cover the identified gaps at all times.
  • Ensures safety of staff by enforcing wearing of protective clothing
  • Maintaining fire protection systems and equipment and ensure fire and safety equipment is functional at all times.
  • Plan, develop, and implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations and minimize operating costs,
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs of building interiors and exteriors
  • Compliance to all facilities license and regulations.

Professional Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Higher National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Proven at least 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar leadership role in at least a four star rated property.

  • Excellent analytical problem-solving abilities and a guest-centric mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours and weekends as needed.
  • Strong technical background in mechanical, plumbing, heating, ventilation and electrical systems
