MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

(1 X ELECTRICAL AND 1 X MECHANICAL)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The position exists to ensure that machines and plant equipment are always kept in good working order. mechanically or electrically.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Plant Engineer, the Senior Maintenance Technicians, will be required to carry out the following duties among others:

  • Ensure that machines and equipment are in good working order without or with minimum faults.
  • Ensure compliance to QHSE instructions relating to the specific workstations, machinery or equipment.
  • Obtain work permit from the Plant Engineer before performing hazardous work such as hot work, confined spaces, working at height etc.
  • Attend various awareness sessions of the factory as definedin the guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate should at least have the following qualifications and experience:

  • TEVETA Diplomate Craft Certification and or National Trade Test Grade 1 in either mechanical or electrical.
  • Preferably 4 years hands-on experience in FMCG Industry or busy production environment will be an added advantage.
