hire dynamic, creative, innovative, and adaptable, thinking outside the box, collaborative, data-driven and
results-oriented individuals to join our marketing team in the following position
Position: Manager, Consumer Products
Location: Lilongwe
Reports to: Marketing Director
Grade: D2
Role Overview:
Manager, Consumer Business is a pivotal role that focuses on driving subscriber growth, customer acquisition,
increasing Average Revenue Per User (ARPU), boosting overall revenue, managing churn, and contributing to the
company’s strategic direction. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities and a
proven track record in business planning, strategy development, and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
▪ Subscriber Growth & Customer Acquisition: Develop and execute strategies to attract and retain new
customers in the consumer segment.

▪ Revenue Growth & ARPU: Lead initiatives to grow ARPU and overall consumer revenue through targeted
marketing campaigns, product offerings, and customer value propositions.
▪ Churn Management: Implement churn reduction strategies to ensure high customer retention rates and
enhanced customer satisfaction.
▪ Business Planning & Strategy: Formulate and implement business plans, ensuring alignment with the
company’s overall strategic goals and market opportunities.
▪ Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire the consumer business team to achieve and
exceed set objectives.
▪ Market Analysis: Conduct regular market assessments to understand consumer behavior, identify trends, and
adjust strategies accordingly.
▪ Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Product Development, and Customer Service teams
to deliver a seamless consumer experience.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is an added
advantage.
▪ Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in consumer marketing, business development, or sales, preferably
within the telecommunications or FMCG sectors.
▪ Proven track record of driving subscriber and revenue growth in a competitive market.
▪ Strong leadership and team management skills.
▪ Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
▪ Proficiency in business planning, forecasting, and performance management.
▪ Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
▪ Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
