Telekom Networks Malawi (TNM) Plc, one of the leading telecommunications companies in Malawi, is seeking to
hire dynamic, creative, innovative, and adaptable, thinking outside the box, collaborative, data-driven and
results-oriented individuals to join our marketing team in the following position

Position: Manager, Segments
Location: Lilongwe
Reports to: Marketing Director
Grade: `D2

Role Overview:


The Manager, Segments will be responsible for driving customer acquisition, managing churn, and accelerating
revenue growth across multiple segments, including Youth, NGOs, Government, SMEs, Business, Consumer, and
Home. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record in
business planning, strategy development, and execution.

Key Responsibilities:


▪ Customer Acquisition: Develop and implement targeted strategies to acquire new customers across all
segments, ensuring consistent growth in customer base.
▪ Churn Management: Analyze customer behavior and implement retention strategies to reduce churn and
improve customer loyalty.
▪ Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth across all segments by identifying opportunities to enhance service
offerings, upsell, and cross-sell to existing customers.
▪ ARPU Growth: Develop and execute initiatives aimed at increasing Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) across
all segments.
▪ Business Planning: Lead the development of comprehensive business plans for each segment, including
market analysis, financial forecasting, and risk assessment.
▪ Strategy Development: Formulate and implement segment-specific strategies to achieve business
objectives, aligning with overall company goals.
▪ Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with
segment strategies and company vision.


Qualifications and Skills:


▪ Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an
added advantage.
▪ 4-6 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the telecommunications or FMCG industry, with a strong
focus on customer acquisition, churn management, and revenue growth.
▪ Proven leadership skills with experience in managing cross-functional teams.
▪ Strong ability to develop and execute business strategies with measurable outcomes.
▪ Proficient in data analysis, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
▪ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all
levels.
