Job Description

The Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) Limited is incorporated under the Companies Act of the Laws of Malawi. Its core business is to procure, transmit and distribute electric power in Malawi as well as managing System Market Operations and Single Buyer licensees in Malawi. ESCOM is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions currently existing within the Corporation.

MEAP Stores Clerks (25 Positions)

Grade : ES12

Location : Various

Duration : 10 months

Supervised by: MEAP Stores Supervisor

Purpose of the Job

To assist in managing and providing quality inventory services to all stakeholders.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receiving and issuing stocks;
  • Reconciling physical stock against ledger balance;
  • Conducting daily, monthly, quarterly stock checks;
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records;
  • Assisting in Stock replenishment;
  • Updating and keeping Records;
  • Any other duties assigned.

  • The ability to manage time effectively in a high-pressure seffing;
  • Attention to detail;
  • The ability to operate effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate must possess a minimum qualification of an advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) from an accredited institution.
