 Job Title:    Monitoring and Evaluation Intern

Job Specification: 

The Monitoring and Evaluation Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the M&E team in assessing the performance and impact of ongoing programs. This internship offers hands-on experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting, providing an opportunity to gain practical skills in monitoring and evaluation within a nonprofit setting while making a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the collection of routine and non-routine program data through quantitative & qualitative data collection tools
  • Support in inputting and analysing collected data in the database and data analysis software
  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data from various sources
  • Ensure proper ethical standards and confidentiality are maintained during data collection
  • Support the M&E team in compiling progress reports and documenting key program milestones
  • Assist in implementing feedback mechanisms for program beneficiaries
  • Work closely with different program teams to ensure M&E systems are integrated into project planning and implementation.
  • Assist in preparing detailed M&E reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Support in collecting and documenting success stories and lessons learned from projects.
  • Provide support to staff on M&E-related issues and procedures
  • Assist in identifying trends and provide recommendations to improve program performance

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Sciences or related disciplines.
  • Holders of a relevant diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation or a related field.
  • Those without a relevant University Degree or Certificate but have at least 2 years’ experience in Monitoring and Evaluation or a similar field may also apply.
