Job Description

MOTOR REWINDER

Limbe Leaf Tobacco Company Limited invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the above position tenable at our Head Office in Lilongwe.

Reporting to the Instruments & Motor Supervisor the successful candidate will, among other duties, be responsible for the following:

  • Rewinding and maintaining AC motor stators, electromechanical equipment, and testing rewound and any other electrical equipment.Operating and inspecting Motor Rewinding Workshop machinery.
  • Maintain inductive load devices and equipment (devices with coils like motors, transformers, and welding machines).
  • Comply with all safe working procedures and the permit system.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience, and skills

  • The candidate should have at least a Diploma or Grade 1 in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience in motor rewinding, and maintenance of generators and welding machines.
  • Working knowledge of motor rewinding techniques, and electrical and mechanical fundamentals.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
