Chibuku Products Limited, the manufacturer and distributor of opaque beer of Chibuku Shake- Shake, Chibuku Super, Chibuku Special and other non-alcoholic beverages such as Maheu Super and is inviting applications from passionate and self-motivated persons to fill the following vacant position below:
MOTOR VEHICLE MECHANIC
This position is tenable at our Mangochi and Lilongwe Breweries. The successful candidate will be reporting to the workshop Foreman and will be expected to ensure efficient and effective maintenance, repair and inspection of our company fleet, so that all vehicles are in good condition. Additionally, the candidate should possess auto-electrician skills to handle electrical components and systems within the vehicles.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Maintenance of trucks, vehicles and overhaul units
- Efficient and effective repair, maintenance and inspection of the company fleet
- Installation and repair of electrical components and systems in vehicles
- Diagnosing electrical issues and performing necessary repairs
- Ensuring vehicles are adequately prepared for Certificate of Fitness (C.O.F)
- Attending to breakdowns are directed
- Compliance with the approved preventive maintenance schedule Adherence to safety procedures at all times
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Minimum of MSCE
- National Trade Test Grade 1 in Motor vehicle mechanics
- At least 5 years of hands-on work experience
- Skills in auto-electrical systems and components
- Good communication skills
- High integrity
- No criminal record
