Applications are invited from suitably qualified Malawians, Civil Servants or noncivil servants, as the case may be, depending on the requirements of the post, for the vacancies listed below existing in the Ministry of Mining:
1.0 POST: Messenger
GRADE: P
SALARY: Within the Grade P Salary Scale Segment
DUTY STATION: Ministry of Mining (Lilongwe)
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Applicants should be in possession of a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE). They must be of ages between 20-40 years.
DUTIES
1. Cleaning offices and surrounding areas
2. Delivering mail.
3. File movement from office to office,
4. And any other duties assigned from time to time.
2.0 POST: Security Guard
GRADE : P
SALARY: Within the Grade P Salary Scale Segment
DUTY STATION: Ministry of Mining (Lilongwe)
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Applicants should be in possession of a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE). They must be of ages between 25-40 years.
DUTIES
1 Safeguard premises and personnel by patrolling properly.
2 Protect office property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
3 Patrol randomly or regularly buildings and perimeter.
4 Monitor and control access to offices.
3.0 POST: Ground Labourer
GRADE: R
SALARY: Within the Grade R Salary Scale Segment
DUTY STATION: Department of Mines (Lilongwe)
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should be in possession of a Junior Certificate of Education (JCE). They must be of ages between 25-40 years.
DUTIES
1 Ensuring the grounds within the office premises are clean.
2 Mows / cuts grass and cares for trees, shrubs and other landscape plants.
3 Rakes and removes leaves, tree branches and other debris.
4 Any other duties as assigned from time to time.

DEPARTMENT OF GEOLOGICAL SURVEY
4.0 POST: Motor Vehicle Driver
GRADE: N
SALARY: Within the Grade N Salary Scale Segment
DUTY STATION: Department of Geological Survey, Zomba
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should be in possession of a minimum Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), a valid driving license and a minimum of two (2) years work experience in a similar job is required. They must be of ages between 25-40 years.
DUTIES
1. Provide driving services.
2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date schedule of trips in the log book, daily mileage, fuel consumption, etc.
3 Report mechanical faults in time.
4 Advise the Office Superintendent (OS) on the date for service.
5 Any other duties as assigned from time to time.
