Job Description

ONE YEAR – FIXED TERM EMPLOYMENT:

NON-RENEWABLE

Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, self-motivated, and enthusiastic individuals for the post of Network Manager tenable at Head Office, Lilongwe.

Job Purpose:

Managing the bank’s network connectivity, ensuring that network uptime is high and security is guaranteed.

Duration

This is a fixed term employment which will run from Ist September, 2024 to 31st August, 2025.

Major Duties

  • Manage the wide area network for the bank’s head office and its branches.
  • Manage Local Area Network
  • Monitoring network connectivity and ensuring high uptime
  • Manage external connections to service providers.
  • Managing remote connections for consultants
  • Managing network vendors
  • Configuring network equipment
  • Reviewing firewall logs and taking corrective action

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills/Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or engineering
  • Any of the following network certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • A minimum of six (6) years of working experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Supervisory skills
  • Ability to think strategically.
  • Results orientation

Remuneration
