OBSTETRICS AND GYNAECOLOGY CONSULTANT
Job Summary
The Company is seeking a skilled and compassionate Obstetrics and Gynecologist consultant to join our team and provide comprehensive, high-quality and affordable reproductive healthcare services to our clients.
Reports to: The Medical Director
Location: Kanjedza Clinic
Roles and Responsibilities
a. Treat patients according to approved standards of care and company policy.
b. Offer preconception care and advise.
c. Provide care and treatment of women during pre-natal, natal, and post-natal periods.
d. Successfully monitor and manage clients in the post-natal period for post-natal related problems.
e. Counsel and educate clients on reproductive health issues.
f. Be able to explain complex conditions of patients in simple terms so that they make informed
decisions.
g. Successfully obtain informed consent for patients undergoing various procedures.
h. Competently perform surgeries and ensure good outcomes.
i. Keep up to date records of patients under their care.
j. Efficiently manage resources under their disposal.
k. Organize and lead clinical care audits.
l. Participate in management meetings.
m. Take part in drafting and presenting budgets and work plans in collaboration with other departments.
n. Must be willing to guide the company to expand and improve service delivery.
o. Any other duties assigned by management.
Educational Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
- MMed in Obstetrics and Gynecology or similar qualification obtained from an accredited institution.
- High level of work organization, self-motivation, driving for performance and improvement, and flexibility in approach and attitude.
- Must be in good standing with licensing and regulatory bodies.
- Must be willing to work with clients of all backgrounds and social status.
- Trustworthy and compassionate in character.
- Must be willing to put patient and interests of the company first.
