JOB SUMMARY
A pharmacy nurse will be responsible for establishing relationships with pharmacy clients, helps educate clients on their diseases and conditions, ensures clients compliance with treatment plans, and elicits the necessary information from clients during casual interactions.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Dispensing
- Giving vaccines and immunizations for people planning to travel to exotic destinations.
- Deliver health care e.g. Treating warts, changing bandages, and cleaning ears.
- Provide medical advice related to the general health and well-being of the clients e.g. guiding and supporting individuals trying to lose weight or quit smoking.
- Assisting clients in Malaria and Pregnancy tests, BP checks and Blood Sugar checks including monitoring blood pressure or managing diabetes.
Requirements
- A minimum of Diploma in Nursing from a reputable institution
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience after graduation
- Registered with the relevant bodies
- Self-motivated and able to organize teamwork
- Good communication and management skills
