Job Description

Africa Global Logistics Malawi Limited (formerly known as Bollore Transport & Logistics Malawi Limited), is a subsidiary of a multinational corporation MSC. Africa Global Logistics is a leading Freight Forwarding and Logistics company in the country. The company intends to recruit suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions tenable at our Kanengo offices in Lilongwe on fixed term contracts.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

The ideal candidate must have an MSCE and a Diploma in Pharmacy or its equivalent with at least three years’ experience at Pharmacy Technician level in an organization involved in managing pharmaceutical products. Preference will be given to those with a proven track record in a warehousing and distribution of pharmaceutical products environment.

Reporting to the Pharmacy Logistics Manager, the successful person will be responsible for:-

  • Ensuring regulatory compliance of warehouse operations including receiving and storage and real time documentation.
  • Supervising the encoding /updating of all pharmaceutical stock movements (receipts, returns, adjustments issues) in management information system (MIS).
  • Supervising and monitoring of warehouse activities and processes to ensure efficient inventory management, order fulfillment and shipment of pharmaceutical products.
  • Checking and approving all receipt of pharmaceutical products generated from MIS.
  • Organizing the picking, packing and dispatching of pharmaceutical products according to the distribution schedule.
  • Inspecting the approval or rejection of distribution vehicles based on season and suitability of vehicles to ensure compliance with set standards.
  • Performing regular stock physical count and stock status report with relevant authorities

Applicants must be registered with Pharmacy & Medicines Regulatory Authority with no sanctions. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is a pre-requisite for this position. Those having knowledge of pharmacy computer systems will have an added advantage. Ability to work with minimum supervision will be preferred.
